I am officially an man adult in my family. I had a huge argument with my dad about politics and religion that scared my grandparents out of the room. Then we both calmed down while talking about the size of Elko county, some jackass kids who got stopped there, and why I shouldn’t live in Alaska.

My boyfriend and I are going to Nevada on Monday to visit my dad’s side of the family. I could tell he was stressed about it when he told me he was cutting his beard (which he’s been growing for nearly a year) and asked if they’d consider him a hippie for growing his hair out a little bit.
